As another poster mentioned, trying to find a few branches in a huge list in the remotes pane when you're already looking right at them in the commit graph is pretty cumbersome. I'm often trying to hide just a few that are cluttering my view and bouncing back and forth is a lot more hassle than just being able to right click and choose hide from the graph would be. -

Jonathan Admin PinnedJonathan from the GK team here. GitKraken Desktop 11.10 introduces Smart Branch Visibility, a new option in the gear menu in the top right of the Commit Graph.
When enabled, it automatically focuses the graph on what matters right now: your currently checked-out branch, its target branch, and their upstreams. Everything else recedes.
If your goal is to reduce graph noise without thinking about it, Smart Branch Visibility delivers that. Where this falls short of the original request: it's an automatic filter, not a manual per-branch hide control. If you want to persistently hide specific branches regardless of what you're working on, that capability isn't here yet.
We're keeping this open to track that distinction.

Kevin MergedHide Branches from the commit tree, right click branch tag -> have an option to hide the branch similar to the sidebar view where the visibility can be toggled from the context menu or by the eye icon. If I want to hide a branch in the commit tree, right now I have to find the commit in the sidebar view, which is a tedious task as I have to search manually.

Axel HeiderSince we have the option "solo" already, having a "hide" there would be nice in the context menu. On a repo with many forks and branches, having the option to hide branches of certain forks directly in the commit graph can be really helpful. Having to look them up in the side pane of the remote repos can be quire painful when the (feature) branches are mainly composed of timestamps, ticket IDs or other acronyms

TheoDefinitely need this,
right-click -> Hide on branch in commit graph. 👍🏻
Command Palette - add "Smart Branch Visibility" toggle as the cog is too small a target ⌨️ -

JohnSmart Branch Visibility is great, but sometimes I want the broader visibility and there's just one annoying branch with a ton of commits that I have to hunt down in the sidebar to hide. It's certainly better than before with that new feature, but I would still appreciate the option to hide a branch from right-clicking in the graph.
