Add "favorite" or "pinned" branches in the left sidebar
Hello,
In the left sidebar we have sections such as LOCAL, REMOTE, ISSUES, TEAMS etc.
My suggestion is related strictly to branches. I, and I belive many others, often have few important branches (such as development, master, however you call them) that are very often used to merge/create branches from. It would be very useful to be able to "pin" such branches to the top so that I dont have to use the filtering all the time if I work on several branches and I need to do merges/rebases between them.

Jonathan Admin PinnedJonathan from the GK team here. GitKraken Desktop 11.10 introduces branch pinning in the Commit Graph. Right-click any branch to pin it to the left side of the graph, keeping its history always visible.
This is a meaningful improvement for tracking important branches visually. However, this does not address the core request in this thread: a Favorites or Pinned section in the left sidebar for fast branch access and checkout. The graph pin and a sidebar bookmark section are different features, serving different workflows. The sidebar request remains open.
We're tracking it. The feedback in this thread, particularly the use cases around switching between a small set of branches
frequently, is noted.

Steven Woolston MergedIt would be great to pin a remote branch so it appears at the top of the list. I have many branches and removing the need to scroll would save time. Similarly, having an autocomplete search might be useful too.

Tobe MergedA normal from for me to rebase a branch on develop is as follows:
-Search for branch number, let's say 3424.
-clear search input and search for develop
-drag branch 3424 from tree onto develop in search list (because drawing it to the top is too slow)
my suggestion is to allow to users to add certain branches as favorites that will show even if filter is active. lets say I would add develop as favorite, the new rebase flow would be:
-Search for branch number, let's say 3424.
-drag branch 3424 from tree onto develop in favorites list -

vicStudSame thing, but maybe a little different, i would like to have a dedicated panel on the left "Favorite" (on top or below remote) where i can put favorite important branch like preprod, staging, etc

Kevin MergedFrequently used branches like dev and master have to be searched. It would be easier to allow pinning selected branches to the top for a fast and permanent access

Andrej RypoI would welcome a feature allowing us to "pin" branches to the top, or mark "featured" branches that would be shown at the beginning of the branch tree view.
In some cases this could even be a pattern, like `release/*` or something similar.
The rationale behind this is that while working on a repo with lots of branches (talking hundreds here) with dozens of hourly commits, it is tedious to look for `main`, `trunk` or `dev` branch constantly. -

KilimanI wonder how many upvotes it takes to get a feature implemented. This is the one DX issue that causes a lot of friction, as I need to access main and other common branches multiple times per day.
