Self-Hosted Workspace support for GitHub Enterprise and GitLab Self Managed
I have multi-repo projects that I think workspaces would be great for, but since Github Enterprise* isn't supported, I can't even try it out. Would be ideal if it were supported in the same way Github is supported.

JimIf there's a technical impediment to doing shared workspaces with GitHub Enterprise, please allow it for private workspaces.

John Michael Stock MergedIt only allows for GH, GL and BB. It does not support local LAN servers like Gitea with http/user/pass and local repos

JasonWe also have projects that use multiple repos but some of those repos are entirely self-hosted (just repos accesses through ssh) so currently workspaces isn't helpful for us and is just using up tab space that IS useful for us. I understand supporting self-hosted repos would be considerably trickier but if it was possible we'd at least be able to evaluate this feature.

JohannesKind of in the same boat, No integration for Azure devops :(

JohnWe also would like to see support for the gitlab self-hosted

JohnWorkspaces is useless for me without supporting self-hosted workspaces (and local repos). This should have been the very first type to be supported really.
It feels more like a push to get cushy with the paid Git services. -

DuccioSame problem here, we use a self-hosted gitbucket

Robert KochI'd like to put my hand in for supporting self-hosted systems. We use a self-hosted GitLab instance for all of our repositories (currently 450+ individual repositories in 100+ groups). Being able to organize these in a git client would be very useful.

JustinAll this feels poorly designed. GK already has support for opening/cloning repos from connected services easily. Why does Workspaces need to reinvent this at all? Workspaces should really only operate against a set of repos; how those repos were created can be left to existing functionality (or even externally to GK). Tying a Workspace to a connected services seems like a huge miss.

Michael KnudsonAll of the repositories I work with are hosted on a self-managed GitLab instance, Workspaces to help organize them sounded amazing until I found out they don't work for GitLab enterprise.
This feature would be extremely useful! -

Stefan du PreezOur company has a self-managed Gitlab Enterprise instance and having Workspaces would benefit us tremendously as our team alone has 20+ applications hosted there.

ChrisMore of the same here. Was very excited when we saw "workspaces" feature introduced. Unfortunately it turned out to not be applicable for us because we use self hosted gitlab repos. Hope to see it in the near future.

Jacob ClevelandWould like to add myself (& my company) to the list of people requesting this feature. We use almost explicitly self-hosted repos. The Workspace tab is, currently, just in my way. Looking forward to this being supported!

Thomas Michielscompletely agree with Justin. As a user i would like to group my repositories based on projects that belong together, not where they are hosted, i think this is a missed opportunity as well.
also, as long as self-hosted isn't supported, i cannot use this feature. Our repos are hosted on bitbucker server and azure devops -

SteveI'm an Enterprise customer that would like the ability to share GitLab Self-managed repo workspaces with my team.

MichaelAgree with other comments - the local/hosted repositories should have been the first thing to be supported. I would *love* to use this feature with our repos on our self-managed GitLab server.

Oliver JonesI really like the idea of the workspaces feature but it is useless for our company until you enable access to self-hosted repositories

Dylanthis is not "done" as self-hosted custom git servers are not supported.
