CLI mirroring GUI behavior
Add an option to have entered in the CLI the git commands that are done in the GUI.
This would be helpful for users who want to learn the git commands in an interactive way (transparency).

Giacomo Zanotti AdminThanks for taking the time to send us feedback! Unlike other Git GUI clients, GitKraken is not a front-end GUI for your command line. It works directly with your repositories with no dependencies, and uses libgit2 for git operations. Hope this helps shed light on how the app works.

Dave SmithI still think it is a good idea and even more important for users to understand what instructions are sent to remotes when the client isn't actually issuing CLI commands.

Keith LutesI also agree that if this is feasible in a future release, it would be a powerful learning tool.
(Note: I don't know what "libgit2" is - I haven't googled that yet.) -

Doug PorterFrom Jonathan's comment I understand that this will be non-trivial, but it would be extremely helpful for us. We have a number of people who are not git experts (and hopefully shouldn't need to become experts) who are light GitKraken users and who sometimes have to do things like write CLI git commands to use via Jenkins. This feature would make the world a shinier place for them.

Webster MergedI tell a lot of people about GitKraken and the main reason say or think it's not for them is that they don't want to know how to do things on the command line still. I'll admin I'd like to have better muscle memory of the git command line commands too.
What if there was a way to show command line commands (maybe in terminal mode) while using GUI actions? -

TickboxPhilAgreed - seeing the Git commands issued would massively improve understanding and potentially reduce support questions. Would expect libgit2 (in C) to be a transactional wrapper so should still be possible to pump out the key Git commands. Another job, appreciated, but very useful all round!
