Giacomo Zanotti AdminGitKraken requires an account to open a repo and use the app. However, can you tell us more about what you're looking to accomplish with a sign out?

Tomas McInteeWhen I work remotely on a PC that is not mine, I would like to be able to sign out for security reasons. This is an important feature. Please implement.

Giacomo Zanotti AdminWe appreciate the feedback.
Trying to sign out of GitKraken is similar to trying to sign out of Git. If you wish to delete your data however, consider deleting the .gitkraken folder from the machine to remove all data. -

Dan VicarelI don't understand the miscommunication here... When you start GitKraken, it asks you to sign in. Therefore, there needs to be a way to sign back out. This has nothing to do with "trying to sign out of Git".

Ezra SharpSigning out of GitKraken is *not* like trying to sign out of git. Git is the technology powering the local VC service. GitKraken is a service on top of git that includes authorising remote servers to interact with local git. It is not unreasonable to need to un-authenticate yourself from using that service and thereby the access to those remote services.

In my case I used Github to authenticate my access to the Gitkraken account and also to access Github repos. However if I revoke the GitKraken access to Github from github I have no way to easily sign out from the GitKraken session that is using that now invalid session. And I am prevented from removing the integration because it is used to authenticate my GitKraken account and everything just error's out. -

RealHandyI need to sign out because GitKraken's GitHub integration constantly breaks for me and goes back to requiring me to provide my GitHub username and pwd on every push, which is maddening. I'll do "Sign in with another account", re-do the GitHub authorization, get a big "Success!", and then still have to give my creds on every push. Sometimes changing the SSH key helps for a day or so, usually not, but mostly, I have to provide creds every time. I was hoping that signing out and back in might fix this painful problem.

Tomas McinteeWe're considering moving away from GitKraken because of this missing basic feature. Being able to sign out is available on other GUI git clients, and this is a significant missing piece of functionality when we work on unrelated projects.

I am leaving my company and would like to remove this software that I personally pay for, but I am unable to do so.
If they reinstall GitKraken they are directly signed in to my account. -

Gabor EtlAre you planning to include this function in the software in the future? We design and program unique production machines. In many cases, the software must be modified at the customer's place after delivery. In this case, I upload the software changes at the customer and it is not good if after closing GitKraken, the customer can reopen it with my login data and has full access to my company's repo.

PhilippThe same for me. I really need a sign out function due to security reasons when working on a remote computer. Please add this feature!

Doesn't matterI'm not sure how the architecture of GitKraken was designed, but missing the most basic feature to log-out of your GitKraken subscription is the equivalent of "staying in a marriage you don't want to be in". The most basic use case is migrating from a dev box to another, or using a temporary machine.
