Configure the length of commit hashes
New Config Settings Request:
Changing the length of the commit hashes displayed and when clicked(copied). So if you copy the hash you dont get the whole commit hash and just the length what you need for build tools, ect.

This feature would be very nice!
this would be great as gitlab uses 8 instead of 6 - ideally this setting would also affect the commit hash in the overview which atm is 6 only
This would be really nice!
I always need to shorten the whole commit hash to use it in our tool.
I don’t mind it copying the full hash, but the 6 character convention I just bad imo. Display should be at least 7 since it’s the old git standard
I would love this change. Currently i have to jump to github to get my 7 characters long hash
I would like this change as it looks like an arbitrary choice that deviates from the expected: what "Zbigniew" said.
Would appreciate this feature as well. Every platform seems to follow it's own length. I would like to set it to match our own messaging system which reports the shortened SHA of each build.
