Sort changed files first in Unstaged file list
Unlike the Git command line, GitKraken lists new files first in both the Unstaged and the Staged file list. Chances are much higher that users are working on existing files, than adding new files. Therefore changed files should appear first in these file lists.

Vladislav JavadovIt would also better to sort and/or filter either staged and unstaged files by type of change: added, modified, deleted, etc. Very useful feature for me.

PatrickI back the suggestion of sorting by type of change. SourceTree has this feature and I am missing it often.

Marc BrooksThis would be very nice, indeed.

B SmithI agree, it is critical that it has as much functionality as SourceTree to help get files staged easier. You don't want to overlook files.

Patrick MergedAs a user, I would like to be able to sort the files in the staging area by change type (new, modified, deleted) first and by path second in order to have a better overview of my changes.
It will help to remove backup files, which show up as new, faster.
They need to be removed, thus are not in .gitignore on purpose.
Coming from SourceTree, I miss that sorting feature in GK Client -
