Support for ARM64
With the increasing popularity and power of ARM processors, as seen in products like the Raspberry Pi 400 and ROCKPro64, these machines are becoming more viable for development work.
I use a Pi 400 for a lot of my free-time development work and the one piece that would make my Pi environment perfect would be GitKraken. I would even volunteer as a beta tester if given the chance :)

I have a Pinebook Pro and a Raspberry Pi 4, and I 200% agree with this - you're going to have to support the Apple M1+ anyhow, might as well support it on Linux, too!

There are lot of SBC's that are powered by arm processors and toolchains like the raspberry pi4, jetson nano families. Some of the applications in robotics involve a lot of colaborative projects with git. Since github stopped support for command line actions there are very few options available for maintaining collaborative code repos with git. I have used gitkraken with x86 processor based boards and I like the app. It would really serve the robotics community who mostly work with open source software with a arm branch for gitkraken.
"Create a gitkraken branch for support arm based toolchains" (suggested by Aniket Shirsat on 2021-11-09), including upvotes (1) and comments (0), was merged into this suggestion.
I would love this. If the M1 thing gets released, it should be even easier.
I use parallels on a M1 macbook running ubuntu. I am unable to use gitkraken in this environment as it is arm64. I am really surprised that gitkraken does not have an existing arm64 supported package.
At minimum a docker image which is maintained i.e. updated to the latest version would get me by in the meantime.
Now that there is added support for ARM64 running on Apple silicon m1 with the 8.3 release. I have looked to see if there is an arm64 linux release. The release notes specify
> GitKraken Client v8.3 introduces a new ARM64 compatible version
However, the download page for linux still only lists the amd64 version
Maybe this should be merged with https://feedback.gitkraken.com/suggestions/192783/native-support-for-new-apple-mac-m1-silicon-arm-processor
Really need linux arm64 version gitkraken because our team is devloping software for arm64 linux (ubuntu).
BTW, gitkraken is awesome!!!
Count me in as another M1 Parallels / arm64 Linux user. I can run Gitkraken on the host OS while storing my source code in a share with parallels linux, but this leads to other problems (build issues). Would love to run Gitkraken inside the VM as I did before with x86_64 MacOS / Parallels Linux!

I would like to add riscv64 to this request
I'm currently using UTM for a Virtualized Ubuntu Guest OS on an M1 Mac and this would be extremely helpful to my team's workflow, especially for the large projects on the linux side.
I also use parallels on a M1 macbook running ubuntu for my dev environment. Would be great to be able to use gitkraken on my setup
I just got my new PineBookPro arm-based laptop and would really like to install GitKraken - please make it available to arm64 users :-)
Need to Support Arm64 so can build on Ubuntu installed on Parallels or any VM that runs on M1 MAC!!
I'm using Ubuntu in M1 Mac under parallels. I miss using gitkraken. :-(
Doing development on Raspberry Pi at the moment, but without GitKraken.
I'm missing my GitKraken.
Everything else is so klunky.
Also, would love to install gitkraken on my chromebook running aarch64. There is a flex package but it doesn't work :( Really miss it and have to resort to competition when coding on it.
Bummed to see that I can't run Gitkraken on my ARM64 distribution of Linux. I will have to use one of Gitkraken's competitors until ARM64 support is added.
GitKarken is not available on arm64, please consider adding it. Thanks.
+1 to have GitKraken for arm64 based linux.
+1, posted from Asahi Linux (Ubuntu on M2).
+1 posted from Asahi (Fedora on M1)
+1 A verision for linux on arm64 will be helpful
I am developing on Ubuntu 22.04 on a Mac with M2 chip.
Therefore I need GitKraken to support the arm64 platform. Also for development on Raspberry Pi 4.
