SI really want to buy pro plan but annual payment plan is hard for me. Note that, I am 19. person who voted up this. I believe that there are so many people that wants to monthly plan but only people who knows this suggestions platform votes. Just imagine maybe 1 out of 100 people write here and vote up, other 99 people leave the purchase page when they saw the annual plan. I used GitKraken many years ago and I love this software. GitKraken is like my childhood.. Please please add monthly plan.

Jonathan AdminThanks for the feedback. If you are student, you can get GitKraken Pro for free through the GitHub Student Pack.

DIn the same way, I have been using gitkraken as a professional for a long time but now I am working on my own and there is no plan to pay per month, it would be an excellent option

YuriiFrom my point of view - it's a very useful option when we can pay on a monthly basis.

I came across a situation where I have to use 5 different accounts for 3 different systems: GitHub, Bitbucket, and GitLab.
This is quite difficult to implement with standard command-line tools. Right now I'm using Sourcetree and trying out your product.
It is very difficult to choose and evaluate usability in a short period of time. Perhaps the situation with such a zoo of different systems will not last long.
And I will go back to my usual way of work.
The ability to pay for 1 month - will give me the opportunity to feel more confident in my choice.
Thank you. -

Kevin Zeidler+1. I like the product and want to give you my money, but I'm not ready to commit to a year yet. And with inflation, gas prices, market turbulence, etc., etc., there's no way that I'm throwing $65 at a developer tool I may or may not use. It's a shame, because billed monthly I wouldn't think twice about paying $6/month (or more!). Ah well. I'll stick to PyCharm's built-in tools.
Side note, this is a really weird flex. I've literally never seen a product *not* offer a monthly billing cycle, usually at a significant premium compared to the discounted annual rate. More money per year for you, *and* it's what the customer wants? It's not just that marking the issue as "not planned" is kinda hostile to the 43+ users who requested it, there's not even a business argument for it. Like how are you planning to f*ck your product up so badly that you expect user attrition might well be a real problem in the future? Better lock 'em in now before you start loading it with spyware or something? -

Joey Kelroy AdminHello Kevin, thanks for sharing your thoughts. This is now under consideration and will be discussed further with the team.

Mati+1 I prefer monthly payments because they are easier to manage. Even if the monthly price was a bit higher than the annual fee, it still is a better solution to me.

AlokBeen waiting since 2020 for this. 2 years yet no monthly plan. I love the product, and my team does too, but this is a big gotcha. How hard it is for you guys to add a monthly billing? or maybe a quarterly plan? I guess y'all are loosing revenue due to this.

CheezeI agree a monthly plan is needed. I haven’t subscribed as I cannot be sure I’ll need it in 6 months time. Wouldn’t 6 months of revenue from me be preferable to none. Imagine how many people like me are out there willing to go monthly?

OliverThe same here. I wanted to take out a plan, but now I don't want to because I don't want an annual subscription.

ChandraI hope Gitkraken has a monthly plan.
Annually subscription is too long, I don't even know if I still working as software developer and using Git next year -

AMHi
Any possible feedback on whether this will be implemented?
This is something that would be very useful to people who do not need an annual subscription. -

Solo Dev DaveCrazy that this is ignored. Needs to happen. It's not cheap.

ArthurI really liked GitKraken, but because it does not accept monthly payment, I will have to migrate to other GUI's like Sourcetree.
If you ever change your mind, please email me and I will pay more than $10 if it is the case. -

what is it that you guys are losing to give us a monthly plan? isnt you guys losing more money by not adding monthly plan? many people in the growing country with small salary needed this monthly plan. it just so weird that a subscription product only has an annual payment. -

In some countries like Spain, independent developers or small teams, need to declare taxes every 3 months and it is easier to manage monthly billings for that. -

This is the only hurdle keeping me from buying the pro version. I would already own it if monthly payments were an option. -

MathiasIt would be very helpful with a model where the subscription is made by way of invoicing instead of credit card payments - this would be much easier for the company bookkeeping and administration.

Nils RietveldUpvoted this! I'm not looking for a year's commitment. Instead I'd like to be able to cancel a subscription whenever I feel like. Right now this keeps me from purchasing gitkraken pro.

Ashish ChauhanI am seeking for the monthly or quarterly plans. Some times projects duration is very short and it doesn't make any sense to pay for a product for a whole year, while its is gonna use for 2-3 months or 6 months.
I will recommend you to introduce new plans like:-
# a monthly or quarterly at a premium
# multi-year license at a discount -
25 Jan, '23
Carlos LugonesOpening monthly payments will increase your sales and allow additional customers to buy the license. Restricting only to annual payments is not good for you, or the final users. If I'd be you, I'd prioritize this.

Nathan DaviesSame here. My trial is about to expire, and I probably wont be able to afford annual up front. I am a small time independent dev, and would not hesitate to buy the bundle on a monthly basis, even if it were $2-3 a month more.
Many people in this thread have elaborated on why yearly is not an option for them. I fall into a similar situation, and hope you guys can get this implemented because I'd be very happy to pay the devs for this excellent work. -

Mike HodgsonPersonally I much prefer a perpetual licence than a subscription-based model, however I know this is just the way the industry has been going for the last decade or more. Given my employer wouldn't approve the GitKraken licence, I would be paying for the licence myself and, since I would only use it sporadically, it is hard to justify paying an annual subscription. Being able to pay for monthly licence renewals, as needed, would be a step in the right direction. It's standard for many providers in the software industry (video & audio streaming services (e.g. NetFlix & Spotify), VPN providers, cloud providers (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP), tons of SaaS solutions/applications, and they all seem to cope financially. Surely it would not be detrimental to Axosoft's bottom line to offer "downgrade any time", monthly renewals.

Sebastian PopA monthly bill is easier to pass the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor), please consider this.

CesarPlease consider a monthly bill, it is easier to afford that price than the annual billing.

Alexsince a year under consideration? please add a way to pay monthly or add bigger discounts, it would help many people aswell .
-

TomI wanted to get this product and expected an option to pay monthly, much like in most other SaaS. It boggles my mind that you guys don't offer this yet, when it's clearly more beneficial to you as you have the ability to raise pricing at any point. Why aren't you offering this?
-

Eliif you show monthly price, fair thing is the availability to pay monthly.

SteveIf you read about churn rate and retention rate, and such, you will find that some companies need to offer only longer subscription as their churn rate is much less than 1 year. If they went to monthly, too many people would drop off after a number of months. There's good business reasons they need to not offer a monthly rate. We just need to think about it and commit or not. I am on the fence as I am trying to decide if this is a tool I would use for a year or would be one of those that switch to something else after a few months. Great product and I am seriously thinking about committing to a year...maybe.

RemlsCancelled my subscription today after 3 years.

My bank implements monthly spending limits on foreign transactions, and I can no longer justify spending almost half of my limit on one application.
Will resubscribe if they add monthly subscriptions. I don't care if it's twice as expensive as the current price per month. They've already thrown 2 offers at me trying to get me to stay during the cancellation procedure, but it's still too much to pay for a single transaction. -

JeanI live in Brazil, 180 USD is about a third of a junior software engineer monthly salary here. Its simply too much to pay for a single license. (and its almost the minimal wage for 48 weekly hours)
Here its common to split a big bill into monthly payments, paying a 12 months fee in 12 months (it would be like a monthly payment but with guaranteed fidelity for at least a year) is something a lot of us would consider, and would be a lot more fair.
Not every good programmer in the world is fortunate enough to be born in a first world country, so there should be ways for less fortunate of us to still access great technologies.
(also, some credit cards and banks can do this split for the buyer, but the interest is so abusive its still hard to justify) -
