Option to downgrade to previous version
As a GitKraken User, I would like downgrade to previous version in order to avoid blocking bug introduced in new version.
Sometimes new version might introduce a new bug that might be blocking some functionality.
Given I have GitKraken open
And I see the rollback to previous version button
When I click on rollback to previous version button
Then GitKraken rolls back to previous version

Giacomo Zanotti AdminYour feedback is appreciated. While there are no plans to have a rollback feature in the app, you can always email support@gitkraken.com and our team will help you get sorted or you may request older versions.

AndrewWhy can't I just download the old versions from the site myself and disable automatic updates? It takes a long time to wait for a response from the support service.

Craig MergedGive access to old versions so if/when there's a problem we can revert back. Such as now where V8.10.0 won't start on Linux Mint/Ubuntu and so we need to reinstall V8.9.1 but can't find it anywhere.

Russ Brooks8.10.2 (ARM build) is hosed for me as well on MacOS 12.6. Won't Merge branches right. Won't Rebase. Won't abandon merges. Rebooted twice.

Anton BorsI have a similar issue with fonts ( github icon is not showing for remotes ), so I need to downgrade or download an older version and install that.

MartijnAdd this please. Sometimes a new version is pushed which breaks something I need to use, and there's no way to get around it, other than be at the mercy of the developers. This is unacceptable in a commercial context.

MWThis would be great truly. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature but in the latest version (9.0.0), Kraken keeps auto closing, which is very annoying because it takes time to load and I have to type in my GPG password every time. For the past few days I've basically had to type in my password between almost every commit. I just want to go back to the previous version!

TobxonI am sorry to say that but it's a mandatory feature due to the amount of breaking changes in releases. Currently with the release of GitKraken 9.7.0 it is basically not useable, which breaks my workflow pretty hard because I am used to the advantage's of GitKraken.

AaronYeah 9.7.0 is completely broken for our Team. Unable to Commit, Stage. Anything really. Being able to download and install previous versions is mandatory.

cyberclectic9.7.0 has broken GK completely. It seems due to LFS as a repo that supports LFS and worked fine with 9.6.1 is now completely borked. Constantly get the banner to `continue without LFS`. Why can't I at least downgrade to the previous stable release?

Eduard Kleiner+1 to ability to download older versions!!!

I'm on 9.7.1 and it keeps crashing each time I load GK, even after deleting the ~.gitkraken folder and signining in again, it crashes instantly when I load any repo.
Seriously guys, very bad release and very bad approach not to allow users to downgrade at will !!! -

Mats Andreassen9.7.1 is also unusable for me. I've just contacted support about it. I can clone but further operations just freezes the UI. I would like to downgrade in order to keep working efficiently.

Simon G MergedGitKraken has just silently auto-updated to 9.8.0, which has broken some previously working features. Given that updates are silently forced on me, there should be an option to download and run a prevous version when the auto-update breaks something, which does happen regularly.

BenI too would love to download older versions, and also have the current version number be included in the downloaded archive so I know what I've downloaded without having to extract it first to see.

Ryan FindleyThis is becoming a major problem. New updates are automatically pushed out and contain major bugs which completely break usability.
There is also no option to disable auto-update?
This is not acceptable for a production tool. We need to have full control of the version of the software installed. -

NickGiven your track record, this is a critical feature! Even when you do provide access to an older version, the app forces an update on the next reboot and the older version has to be reinstalled again. PLEASE stop forcing your own customers to update to non-functional software! Unless your goal is to lose customers, this just makes sense for everyone involved.
