Allow changing of the Default Location when opening a repository

I want to be able to change the default location that appears in the Windows dialogue when selecting "Open a repository". Ex: I keep all of them in "D:\Project\BitBucket". Currently I have to click about 5 things just to get to that.

I'm aware of the [ctrl + shift + O] trick as well.

As I wrote to support, the current way of opening new repos and directories is a train-wreck; it's
confusing, slow, and puts you back to the very start with an error, more often than not.

This must be pulled up to nowadays standards, asap.

It really needs the eyes of someone remotely experienced in UI/UX.

I'd like to extend suggestion to say be able to set a default location for ANY windows folder selection dialog that opens. Not only for "Open a Repository", but also for destinations for clones.
