Ability to minimize Commit Panel from UI
The Commit summary panel that shows the commit message and list of affected files is always displayed. You can move it's position from right side dock to bottom dock, but it always takes up a lot of screen space.
When viewing diffs it takes up too much space that can be utilized by actual code.
While it is currently possible to toggle the commit panel using the keyboard shortcut Cmd/Ctrl +K, please add an option in the UI to hide (minimize) the panel, similar to how the left panel with branches behaves.

Jonathan AdminHello Martin! This is already possible using the keyboard shortcut Command/Ctrl + K.
I will be closing out this feature request, though please reach out to [email protected] if you have more questions. -

MartinHi Jonathan.
I'm sorry to say, your suggested solution doesn't work, and this suggestion ticket should be reopened.
Hitting Ctrl + K does indeed close the side panel, but it closes the main diff window as well, making the minimization feature useless.
So no, the feature request still holds. Also, it would be nice if you could add a minimize button for that action instead of relying on a keyboard shortcut.

MarkWe decided to use SmartGit because of this issue. In SmartGit we can double-click the top of the diff window to make it full screen and then double-click again to return.

PacoAny update on this issue? It's annoying that I can't work in diff view at full screen mode.
