Git hook to not lock entire UI

Hi Team -

I would love the ability that when git-hooks are being executed that the entire UI is not locked until the hook finished processing.

Today when for example a pre-commit hook is executing I just need to wait before I can do anything else. Ideally we would be able to continue on another repo and start reviewing the changes over there, commit or do other operations.
