Azure DevOps Server (TFS) Integration đź”—
While there is an existing integration for Azure DevOps, there is currently no built-in integration for Azure DevOps SERVER.
As a user, I would like to setup a similar integration inside GK to achieve the following benefits:
- Create repositories on Azure DevOps Server account including .gitignore and license
- Automatically generate an SSH key pair and copy it to Azure DevOps
- Clone from Azure DevOps Server repo list
- Identify Azure DevOps Server repos with remote avatars on graph
- Add remotes for Azure DevOps Server repos
- Create and view Pull Requests

Markus J.I can only agree on this one. GitKraken has some nice integration into Azure DevOps Online, but doesn't offer the same level of Integration for Azure DevOps Server (on premise) Installations.

Rob MI agree. Please can we get this!

GitKraken is the most feature rich git ui tool that we have looked at so far but because On-Premise Azure DevOps servers are not supported for integration, it means we cannot implement GitFlow because we don't have access to automatically create Pull Requests from GitKraken to do the branch merges that would occur during a feature / release / hotfix branch completion. (Due to Branch policies on the remote requiring a Pull Request with approval from certain people) -

Marcus S.I need this. For every other integration we have support for a server version: GitLab Self-Managed, Bitbucket Server, Jira Server. Plus, APIs for Azure DevOps und Azure DevOps Server are pretty much the same.

fjodVery nice feature to have! We are using devops server on-premises.

Michael SAgreed. I would LOVE to have the ability to initiate pull requests from within GitKraken.
I can connect to my Azure Devops Server instance using the same instructions to connect to the DevOps cloud, however it throws an error when trying to actually do anything with the server. When I right click on origin and click "View origin on Azure DevOps", it adds an extra _tfs in the url: (desired repo: https://tfs.myCompany.com/DefaultCollection/TeamName/_git/RepoName -- url that GitKraken tries to use: https://tfs.myCompany.com/DefaultCollection/TeamName/_git/_git/RepoName
It doesn't seem like the functionality would be that far off. -

Frank SilanoSame as Michael S as a matter of fact I just logged a ticket for this this morning. Please fix this, we need to be able to use GK with on prem Azure DevOps.

AI really like GitKraken, but the absence of Azure DevOps Server integration makes working with Pull Requests difficult for us.
Other Git clients (SmartGit, Tower) support this, so I really hope this feature will make it to GitKraken in the near future. -

Thomas BrandThis feature would help us increase the productivity and establish GitKraken as to goto Tool in the dev team.
Kind regards,
Thomas -

Nicolas BurlettThis feature would really help us too!!
We cannot properly implement our git flow as we can't create PR directly from GitKraken.
Please fix this. -

Frank SilanoSadly this is still not working in v8.5.0 GitKraken Client. Please fix this, it is a MUST for team with on-prem Azure DevOps. Thank you.

MaciejThis is crucial for me.

Juan RinconJust wanted to put my vote in for this feature. Most companies use on premise Azure DevOps which includes mine. We are looking to use GitKraken for our team but this is one of the few limitations preventing us from fully going for a team license.

Hayder Al-KhalissiI agree.
But I expected to have more features and supporting from GitKraken when is used to have access to Azure repositories. Today, many Git tools today have access and full integrated with Azure. Please consider this request and I am looking for integration on on-prem variant of Azure DevOps. -

scottI would like to have Gitkraken working with our Azure DevOps On-premise as well. Thanks.

Frank SilanoHas there been any movement on this? This is key for our dev team and would be very helpful in getting GK established as the primary tool in our organization.
BTW the Workspace feature also does not appear to work with on-prem Azure DevOps which is another opportunity that I would like to take advantage of.
Thanks. -

MaciejWhat is the status of this request?
Our company is considering deploying GitKraken for all workers but support for on-premise Azure Server is crucial. -
21 Dec, '22
ChristianSame here, on premise integration would be very helpful for us.
-
11 Jan, '23
Joe T.We also use DevOps Server, and while GK is my personal preferred client I can't push it to the rest of the company without this on-premise integration.

Wyatt BCan we please get support for private ADO instances? I would love to be able to connect to my private server, but Gitkraken doesn't support it.

SeanAdding a vote for this too, as our organization has an on premises ADO server, and I can't integrate with it
-

MaciejThis would be great as lots of companies do use AzureDevops on premise.

OlivierPlease add this feature. I have sent an email years ago to support for this. This request has 2 years and over 200 votes. How can you guys justify this? Many new features you add regularly are just not useful for us (workspaces, pull requests, etc.). When we look on your website you do not state clearly it does not work with Azure DevOps server: "With GitKraken Client’s Git Hosting Integrations, you can enjoy the conveniences of connecting with popular Git repository hosting services, including GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, and Bitbucket." It is not very honest.
1
It does not seem too much effort on your part. I cannot really believe there is a lot of differences between ADO service and ADO server. -

JimAgreed. GitKraken is a wonderful tool, but for organizations that use AzureDevops on premise, we cannot take advantage of the integrations. It is a tough cost to justify for a team if we still need to flip over to another tool.
-
02 Aug, '23
AlbertI also vote for implementing this Feature! Without it we cannot use most usefull features of GitKraken (Like Pull-Request, Workspaces, etc.)
-

Olivier GougeonI've been using GK with Bitbucket Server, GitHub Enterprise Server, GitLab Self-Managed for years now and would love to be able to use GK with Azure DevOps Server! GitKraken is a great tool that makes my life easier every day in my Control Law Aerospace Engineering role.

Ben WilliamsHi there, their Support told me last week, "The Azure DevOps integration is intended for hosted instances only", which comment I glossed over, not fully digesting what "hosted" meant, and today it became clearer and more to the point when they told me plainly,
1
"The Azure DevOps integration is intended for hosted instances only, it does not connect to on-prem Azure Devops. You may still work with repositories on Azure DevOps Server using HTTPS/SSH."
This may help someone else realize that there must be a program/design difference between these two product names where GitKraken Client works with one but not the other:
Apparently "Azure DevOps" and "Azure DevOps Server" are different animals.
- simply referring to "Azure DevOps" perhaps by default implies "hosted online" (who knew?... I guess meaning "third-party cloud service")
- "Azure DevOps Server" (on-prem, on-premises, meaning the "locally" installed standalone, non-cloud version that your company has purchased for internal use) -

AndyVery disappointed to discover that on-prem ADO isn't supported. That's a deal-breaker for us.

Frank KechIt's really annoying, that Gitkraken doesn't supports the integration for DevOps server enterpise.
-

GTThree years later and still NOTHING from the GitKraken team. Instead, they decide to spend more time removing functionality that was working great and adding new features that most people don't need. I'm a PRO user and I'm going to cancel because the GitKraken team's priorities no longer align with my own.

No OneAccording to the GitKraken Website it works with Azure DevOps. Azure DevOps is the general name for Hosted AND Server. It has to work with both versions. Anything else is just ridiculous.

ALAll we are asking for is to use what is in the text box and not pre-parse it before it is used for the API.

05 Nov, '24
KeithThe vast majority of the api calls are the same between ADO Server and ADO Cloud. Even if it wouldn't work 100% it would be really nice if you would let us try it and mark it as experimental.

We've captured the logs and they are cutting off the collection from the url which is why it fails when you try to manually add a PAT. -

BenjaminWithout the Azure Devops (on-premise) Integration, the Launchpad is actually useless for me.
I can use the standard git features though, by entering my credentials, but a full integration would be appreciated. -

RichardThe lack of support for the onprem version prevents me from recommending this software to my company. I'll have to switch back to competing products for my company work.
